When we all got up to leave, all of a sudden Gandoof froze in his tracks.
He looked really scared, kind of like I feel when I find an elephant roach in my bathtub.
âWhat is it, Gandoof?â I asked.
âWe need to run as fast as we can!â he said.
I glanced down the hill, and there was a pack of wolves chasing us! Really big wolves, with big red eyes.
We tried to run as fast as we could, but the runts have short legs and canât run very fast.
Mobbits can run really fast, but sometimes we trip over our own feet because our feet are so big. So, as soon as I started running, I tripped and fell, and all the other runts tripped over me.
We were just a pile of runts in the middle of the valley.
